Megadeth - Countdown To Extinction
Megadeth - Countdown To Extinction
After receiving a call from Dave Mustaine and Tommy Steele, creative director at Capitol Records — I was tasked with developing artwork for the title “Countdown To Extinction”. I was immediately struck with the image of a levitating, emaciated and anguished octogenarian figure ascending into the light from his cold dank cell. After some inquiry, I was introduced to the perfectly gaunt model — who happened to be personal assistant to comedian Jerry Lewis during the 1950’s. The environment was a scale miniature that I created for the shoot.
